We just got back from the inaugural Clinton Global Initiative University in NOLA. It was an incredible and very inspiring experience to say the least. http://www.clintonglobalinitiative.org/NETCOMMUNITY/Page.aspx?pid=1853

Here is a link to videos of people we were lucky to hear from and, in some instances, meet. Speakers included President Bill Clinton, Lance Armstrong, Brad Pitt, Laurie David (producer of Inconvenient Truth), Kiva founder Preemal Shah, Gideon Yago, and many more. These speakers are incredible, be sure you check the videos out.

Two big events for our Recycling Campaign are coming up.

On Tuesday the 24th, we will be showing CNN's Planet in Peril in the World Affairs Lounge of the UC Underground. CNN went around the world to highlight environmental issues and one of their 15 locations of focus was Houston. CLEAN aided CNN in highlighting the air quality problems of Houston, and they are now bringing this segment to our campus. Doors open at 6:30, show starts at 7:00 pm. Refreshments will be provided. The other event is the highlight for the awareness part of our Recycling: Accessibility & Awareness Campaign: "Dunk the Recycling" 11-2 pm at Lynn Eusian Park on Wednesday the 25th.

- We will be meeting on Monday at 1:30pm at the World Affairs Lounge to get last minute details worked out and make posters.
- We also need you to help us run the event. We have one hour shifts. Please tell us which times you'd like to work.

We have lots of prizes to give away and environmental educational material. However, to entice you, we have lots of free tickets to the Rockets given to us when we planted trees with them. We will be handing them out to those individuals who take the initiative to help the club out the most.

Next meeting is on Wednesday March 26th at 3:30 in the Atlantic Room.

Free Rockets tickets available...certain conditions apply.
