First General Meeting

Our first general meeting will take place on Wednesday, February 6th in the Spindletop Room (second floor UC) at 3:30pm.

We will discuss activities planned like beach clean-up and recycling to volunteering and lectures all dealing with increasing environmental awareness and protection of our environment.

"On January 31 2008, the University of Houston will participate in Focus the Nation, a national teach-in engaging millions of students and citizens with political leaders and decision makers about Global Warming Solutions.
From 1pm to 3pm in Cullen Performance hall, join Senator Senator Rodney Ellis, Chair of the Texas Senate Committee on Government Organization, along with a panel of experts from the scientific, environmental, educational, legal, and business communities will share their perspectives and answer your questions on climate change.
Other events, including an alternative fuel auto show, environmental fair, and freebies, will be taking place throughout the day. See the calendar for a full list of events including additional events throughout the month of February and beyond!"
